What Journey remembers, and why.

A practical guide to the different kinds of information used by the companion and the controls planned for families.

Conversation history

Recent messages help Journey understand the current conversation and answer follow-up questions. Recent context is bounded; not every sentence becomes a permanent memory.

Useful family memory

Journey can retain important information such as names, relationships, recurring preferences and significant context. Durable memories are kept separately from ordinary conversation so they can be reviewed, corrected and removed more deliberately.

Structured baby events

Times and events such as baby sleep are stored as structured records so durations, charts and reports can use exact calculations. Sleep tracking is limited to an identified baby or toddler. A parent saying “good night” or “I’m going to sleep” should not create a sleep record.

Sensitive information

Pregnancy, health and family details may be especially sensitive. Conversations and records you submit are stored to provide Journey's features. You can turn off the separate use of health and wellbeing details for future personalisation in the app; this does not erase information you already entered or stop Journey from processing a health question you choose to ask.

Retention and deletion

Account holders can use the account page to request deletion of their sign-in and associated active app records. Deletion cannot be undone. Copies may remain temporarily in backups or provider systems.

Retention periods and any required exceptions are being verified and must be documented before public release.
